Quick tips for getting to (and around) the city from Dubrovnik airport
Atlas company has bus lines (shuttle) to Dubrovnik centre, buses depart after arrival of every regular flight. The price is around 5 EUR and it will take you to Dubrovnik centre from where you can catch a public transportation bus (or taxi) to your hotel.
This is the public transportation map, the bus from the airport will leave you at Pile and you need to go to Lapad:

The alternative would be to take a taxi from the airport (about 35-50 EUR to the city). The distance between the airport and the city is 22 km.
As you will need to use public bus transportation for getting around in Dubrovnik maybe you should consider buying a Dubrovnik card as it includes both bus rides and free entrance to some of Dubrovnik's sights and more. You can see detailed information on their site
